Working with us
We don't have the bandwidth to take on an agency right now.
That's the most common reason cleantech teams say no, and it's why we're built the way we are. We need CRM access and a short, front-loaded amount of your time. After that we bring the work to you and you approve it.
Our deals take a year to close. How would we know it's working?
We don't wait for the close. Attribution goes live in the first week, so you can see marketing's contribution to pipeline inside the quarter. At Day 90 we re-measure against the same Day 0 baseline.
Buyers in our category aren't searching for us yet. Can marketing still help?
Yes, but not by testing more channels, because the demand hasn't formed yet. We start with accounts that have a trigger event giving them a reason to act, and a message the person who signs can act on.
Every agency says they understand cleantech. What makes you different?
We only work in B2B cleantech, and we ask to be judged on one measurement taken on Day 0 and again on Day 90. If it hasn't moved, you'll see that as clearly as we do.
Should we hire in-house instead?
Often, eventually. We cost less than one full-time hire, and you keep the system, reporting and playbooks we build, so your hire starts with something that works. You can stop anytime.
What happens in the free Diagnostic?
Thirty minutes on how your deals actually happen, where they stall, and where the time between spend and revenue is going. It isn't a pitch. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you who is.
Services and fit
What does Cleantech Growthlab do?
We help B2B cleantech and climate tech companies turn marketing into revenue sooner. We find accounts in a buying window, reach the people who sign, and show revenue impact every 30 days, using SEO, AI search, paid media, ABM, content and sales enablement.
Who do you work with?
B2B cleantech and climate tech companies selling to technical buyers with long sales cycles, such as utilities, grid operators, and energy-intensive and industrial enterprises. Most clients are Seed to Series B. We work with software, hardware and hybrid products.
Do you build the strategy or run the campaigns too?
Both. We set the strategy with you, then run it across the channels that are working and drop the ones that aren't. You keep the reporting, playbooks and systems we build.
How long do SEO and paid media take to show results?
Paid search and LinkedIn can show early signals within a few weeks, and performance improves over the first 60 to 90 days as targeting is refined. SEO usually shows traction within a quarter, with pipeline impact building over four to six months depending on competition and content depth.
What is AEO, and do you optimize for AI search?
AEO (answer engine optimization) means structuring your site so tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews can find, trust and quote you. We use clear question-and-answer content, schema markup and proof from real results, and track how often your brand appears in AI answers. It works alongside SEO, not instead of it.
How does ABM help shorten cleantech sales cycles?
ABM focuses effort on accounts that show signs they're ready to buy, and reaches each person on the buying committee with a message that fits their role. Sales gets into deals earlier, with buyers who already understand the case.
How much does it cost?
It depends on scope and stage. Most clients start with a 90-day pilot with outcomes agreed upfront, then continue with the channels that perform. A full engagement costs less than one full-time hire. The free Diagnostic is where we scope it.
